Lisbon Jewish community elects new leader

The Jewish community of Lisbon, Portugal’s EJC affiliate, has elected Gabriel Steinhardt as its new president.

Steinhardt, a businessman with a longstanding involvement with the community since his teenage years, replaces Jose Carp, who has held the post for many years.

The EJC looks forward to working closely with Gabriel and maintaining the strong relationship we have with the Portuguese Jewish community.

We also wish Jose best wishes in great appreciation of his outstanding contribution to Portuguese and European Jewry.
